Yuchen Zheng (China Agricultural University, doctorant en visite à l’isyeb), présentera ses recherches sur la systématique des fourmi-lions (Myrmeleontidae):

Myrmeleontidae (antlions and owlflies) is the most diverse family of Neuroptera, currently comprising ca. 2100 species in 303 genera. It is well-known for some larvae that construct pit-shaped traps in sand or soil, and for  adults that resemble dragonflies (Odonata). Although previous studies have provided a preliminary phylogenetic framework for Myrmeleontidae, the monophyletic questions of many clades within Myrmeleontidae remains unresolved, a comprehensive evolutionary history has yet to be explored, and the life histories of numerous genera are still unknown. This presentation will summarize previous significant researches, present current progress (primarily those of the presenter), reveal major research challenges, and propose future directions for the systematics of Myrmeleontidae. This may provide insights for researchers studying other taxa who face similar challenges.
