Mes recherches s’intéressent à l’évolution des insectes Orthoptères et la diversité de leurs systèmes de communication à une échelle macroévolutive. J’utilise des approches pluridisciplinaires combinant une importante activité en taxonomie, des études phylogénétiques, de la biogeographie historique, et des études comparatives phylogénétiques, des études génomiques et l’étude détaillée des mécanismes et les comportements associés à la production du son chez les grillons (bioacoutique, études biomécaniques, modélisation numérique, morphométrie). Je m’appuie pour cela sur sur un réseau important de collaborations nationales et internationales et des études menées en laboratoire et sur le terrain.
