Current research activities :
- systematics, faunistics and ecology of the water beetle families Dytiscidae and Noteridae
- supervision of a multi-partner project addressing morphological and molecular aspects of the evolution of the chemosensory system in Adephaga beetles in relation to land-to-water transition.
Previous research topics: metazoan phylogeny ; evo-devo studies in non-bilaterian animals (sponges, cnidarians and ctenophores).
Teaching: animal diversity, phylogeny and evolution.
