  •  Research interests

  • My research aims at tackling questions in ecology, and more particularly in conservation through acoustics. Among other I focus on bird ecology through acoustics and on the patterns of bird acoustic communities. I am currently studying in the cloud forest of Guatemala the population and community ecology of Pharomachrus mocinno, the Resplendent Quetzal, a symbolic bird species for Mayan culture.

  •  Current projects

  • Ecoacoustic monitoring of Pharomachrus mocinno mocinno (Resplendent Quetzal) a flagship bird species of Guatemala. PhD thesis under the supervision of Jérôme Sueur (Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle) and Thierry Aubin (CNRS-Université Paris Saclay).

  •  Grants

  • My research is supported by a GuateFuturo PhD grant and National Geographic Society grant.
